Z-Corp Color 3D Prints is a fast and cost-effective solution to model making. This additive manufacturing technology is a simple way to quickly turn 3D CAD files into coloured models. Parts are fashioned with powdered plaster composite material (together with a four colour printing process) which allows for an astonishing 390,000 possible color combinations. Color is printed directly into the part during the build process, not just on the surface. This technology eliminates the need to paint a part during post processing.
Zcorp is one of the major companies in the 3D Printing industry. ZPrinting refers to the z axis of a printer which adds depth to the other two axes in 3D printing.
In 1995, MIT developed a new 3D printing technology called ZPrinting. With ZPrinters, a printing head moves across a bed of powder, depositing a liquid binding material selectively in the shape of the section.
ZPrinters have recently been used to produce custom figurines and avatars from video games, like World of Warcraft, in full color.
